‘Ramashka, the Pilot’ premieres in Kazakhstan cinemas

Iranian animated film ‘Ramashka, the Pilot’ has hit the silver screens in Kazakhstan.

The Iranian animated film ‘Ramashka, the Pilot’ has hit the silver screens in Kazakhstan, thanks to the efforts of the Cultural Attaché of Iran's Consulate General in Almaty.

According to IRNA, the opening ceremony of ‘Ramashka, the Pilot’ was held at the Kinopark 11 Imax Esentai in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by Mohsen Faqani, Iran’s Consul General, Hossein Aghazadeh, Iran's Cultural Attaché in Almaty, as well as families of Iranian expatriates and Kazakh families.

During the event, Kazakhstan’s National TV Channel 24 interviewed the Iranian Cultural Attaché at the beginning of the program, and following the screening, they spoke with Iran’s Consul General and Kazakh viewers, including children, to gather their impressions of the film.

In his interview, Consul General Faghani expressed his delight at the screening of the first Iranian animation in Kazakhstan, stating, “I am pleased that today we are witnessing the screening of the first Iranian animation in Kazakhstan. These activities not only introduce Iranian culture and art but also strengthen the relations between the two countries.”

Hossein Aghazadeh also emphasized in his interview that the current period focuses on two main goals: “First, to strengthen the historical ties and enduring friendship between the societies of Iran and Kazakhstan, and second, to foster the growth of cultural economy between the two countries by building on these cultural relations.”

Kazakh audiences who watched the film praised its production quality, dubbing, and subtitles, awarding it a perfect score and encouraging other Kazakh children to watch it.

The screening and sale of ‘Ramashka, the Pilot’ are based on a contract between Iranian and Kazakh companies.

According to Kazakh officials, while they have often heard about the achievements and international awards of Iranian films at global festivals, the screening of this first Iranian animated film marks a significant step forward in bilateral cooperation in the film industry, as Kazakh audiences are keen to watch Iranian films in Kazakhstan.

The storyline of ‘Ramashka, the Pilot’ revolves around the main character's dream of flying and the collective efforts of friends to achieve it.

This marks the first public screening of the film, with promotions already underway in cinemas and on social media platforms in Kazakhstan.

The screening and sale of ‘Ramashka, the Pilot’ began on August 29 and will continue in Kazakhstan cinemas until September 12.
